We hope you are keeping safe & warm this winter, and have many merry plans.
Our focus for the year, and where we’ll be spending some holiday time, despite its not-very-wintery name, is our reacquired beach house. It’s still very much a work in progress, but the family’s been working hard to make it more and more like a home away from home.
In between fix-it trips to the beach house, Dave and his great team worked hard on their part in the latest release of Microsoft Office. A change of focus is called for in the new year, but in the meantime, Dave is enjoying some banked-up vacation to finish out the month.
Bruce is into his second year at Interlake, his first year of International Baccalaureate work, and the homework is starting to ramp up. The arrival of two weeks came as a nice break. He kept up his piano and fencing, and now has two tournaments under his belt.
Poor Jack is doing the least well of all of us. In additional to his many food and skin allergies, he now has insulin-dependent diabetes, very strange in such a young dog. We’re trying a new food that helps his blood sugar, and so far, he doesn’t seem to be allergic to it. Wish us well!
The holiday image we chose is a sample from Liz’s seasonal pieces. She prepared them as small images for her local gallery’s holiday show, and offers them as cards on redbubble.com, along with the other pieces in her yearly portfolio. You can see where she keeps busy by tracking her online: as artEAST‘s volunteer webmaster, co-teaching social media classes to her fellow artists, and continuing to create her own art at lizruest.com.
We continue to be grateful for our family, and our many friends, local and far-flung. Thinking of all of you this holiday season. May you enjoy a peaceful season of joy!
