Despite many conflicting possibilities on the calendar, we chose to have Bruce perform at his teacher’s piano recital on the weekend. His playing is coming along so nicely! He’s classified as high-intermediate, after 4 years of lessons.
The first piece is Sonatina in F, Op. 168, No. 1 by Anton Diabelli, from his current book, Masterworks Classics Level 5. The second piece, bluesy for contrast, is Mr. Trumpet Man from “Jazz, Rags, and Blues, Book 4” by Martha Mier.
