With COVID travel restrictions easing, we’ve been enjoying quick trips up to Vancouver to see Bruce. We’ve driven through the city so many times (or driven around it to avoid it) but haven’t spent much time there. As Bruce might be around for a few years, it’s a great opportunity to fix that.
Before the pandemic, I did enjoy a couple of trips with friends, so I know there are great spots to visit: the Vancouver Art Gallery, Granville Island’s shops & markets, Capilano’s scary bridge. But as a city dweller in Seattle, I’ve also come to appreciate great neighborhoods. Ours, in Belltown, or Ottawa’s Hintonburg have great competition from Vancouver; Mount Pleasant, Kitsilano, Yaletown, and Gastown are all vibrant, and we look forward to poking around while we have the opportunity.
