Jack has not had good luck with his health (allergies, and then diabetes!?), and this week his luck ran out. He developed a brain issue that progressed quickly and didn’t respond to treatment.
He was only 7 years old last month, way too soon to leave us. We’ll always remember his first day home with us, a little puppy in a little box. He was a very loving dog, great company for Bruce. He was odd at first because he never barked unless we asked him to speak. Instead, he made a purring noise when he was happy: we called it grunting. After initial training, he was well behaved, always excited to see people, especially if they would pet him or give him treats. We were lucky to have such a great, happy dog.
