After Doune Castle, we headed to the fabled shores of Loch Lomond, where a short, hilly hike awaited us.
The drive back took us through the adventure of Duke’s Pass, where the car performed well, as long as all passengers had eyes firmly set on the horizon!
I was delighted to find an actual Highland coo among the pass roads. When we slowed down to take this picture, we realized the haze around the cow was actually a very dense cloud of flies! UP went the window we had tried to roll down, and this is as good a shot as we could do under the circumstances.
Dave loved driving the windy roads, and was happy not to have to stop the car for pesky photographs after that.
