Bruce went to his senior prom today with a stylin’ tux, a new haircut, and a lovely companion, Emi. He asked her to the dance by creating a scrolled invitation on silver paper, and she said yes!
Reaching this point means he’s almost gone, and so grown up & ready. Yes, this is hard to type without getting teary!
Bruce chose a silver vest and tie to match Emi’s dress, and they went together to pick the corsage and boutoniere color — great choice. Unlike previous formal dances, we managed to remember to bring the corsage! Emi managed to attach it without hurting anyone, but it’s trickier than you’d think.
The dance itself was at the Columbia Tower downtown. He and 4 other couples met for dinner in Bellevue, then rented a limousine to take them to & from the dance.
Only one small adventure, despite the many ones we planned for: someone else has his jacket from the coat check! Hope it turns up when everyone brings their tux rentals back.
